Highlights:
La Orquidea Bilingual School is a small but developing bilingual school in rural Honduras providing education for students throughout the Lake Yojoa region. Teachers live in the nearby city of Siguatepeque or in the town of Taulabe in modern and semi private housing. Class sizes are small with most classes being less than 15 students. Resources are limited, however teachers are encouraged to be creative and innovative with lessons. New ideas are always looked upon with excitement.
Qualifications / Skills Needed:
The perfect candidate will be flexible, patient, caring, reliable, innovative, work well in stressful situations, is interested in Honduran culture, self starter, and works well with little or no direction. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in education, but any field will be considered. Spanish is helpful, but not necessary.
The school provides a generous monthly salary per Honduran standards, round trip airfare from a major U.S. airport, housing, health coverage, and transportation to and from school.
