Description:
Buenos Aires is the dynamic, bustling capital of Argentina- home of tango, the world's beast steak, and world-class architecture and parks. The city's blend of European heritage with a Latin lifestyle make it a captivating place to live and work. Portenos, as the city's almost 10 million inhabitants are called, are keen English learners and especially value teaching English to young people, who will find it an increasingly desirable skill as the country grows and further integrates into the global economy.
As an English teacher you will be placed in a classroom full of eager-to-learn children. This is a challenging but rewarding role that has the potential to make a real difference in young people's lives. And as you soak up the Argentine culture you may well find yourself extending your stay in the 'Paris of South America.'
Highlights:
As a volunteer teacher, you may either teach a class on your own or you may act as a teacher's assistant within the classroom, helping children in small groups with speaking, listening, writing, reading, grammar and vocabulary lessons. You will lead or assist the English language teachers with lesson planning, pronunciation exercises, and conversation activities.
