Description:
Become a "Teach and Travel Ambassador" and immerse yourself in the language, culture and lifestyle of your host country. "Teach and Travel Ambassadors" live with a foreign host family and receive room and board in exchange for teaching 15 hours of English lessons per week. There is no better way to improve your language skills and get to know the culture and lifestyle of a country than by living with a native host family. The best part is you'll have plenty of free time during the week and weekends to explore the country!
Highlights:
* Full board and accommodations are provided in exchange for the language instruction Teach and Travel Ambassadors provide and are therefore not paid.
* Teacher Certification -- If you haven't taught EFL (English as a foreign language) before, that's ok! Our teacher training division, BridgeTEFL trains over 3,000 English teachers a year. As part of this program you will be enrolled in our 120 hour TEFLonline teacher certification course including our endorsements in teaching young learners and business English. This innovative online course can be completed from the convenience of your home and will provide you with all the basics you need to teach English to your host family abroad. Our TEFL (Teach English as a Foreign Language) staff will also be available to you via email upon course completion for advice on lesson planning, curriculum and other teaching support you may need. For more information on our teacher training division, please visit our website.
* In-country Support -- Teach and Travel Ambassadors are given orientation and in-country support via Bridge-Linguatec's partner language school. All Ambassadors are assigned an in country advisor who will be available 24/7 in case of emergency or for other matters including requests to change families, etc.
* Language Classes Option -- If you are interested in taking language lessons during your Teach and Travel Ambassadorship we will be glad to arrange classes at our partner language school for you at an additional cost.
